Dallas Love Field is the metro's close-in airport: one compact terminal, short walks, and a quick hop to downtown and Uptown. Arrivals here are simpler than DFW, but the pickup curb still rewards a plan. Our Dallas Love Field shuttle meets arriving DAL flights around the clock — here is the routine.
The DAL arrivals routine
Deplane into the single terminal, follow signs to baggage claim on the lower level, collect your bags, and exit to the ground-transportation curb. Everything is closer together than at DFW, so the terminal side rarely causes delays. Text your driver when bags are in hand rather than at touchdown. Flying into DFW instead? Our DFW airport shuttle covers every terminal there.
Pickup zones at Love Field
Love Field marks separate curb areas for private pickups, rideshares, taxis, and buses. Stand in the zone named in your confirmation so your driver finds you first try, and keep your phone handy after you exit. Your driver confirms the exact meeting point at booking. Pre-booked shuttle riders skip the taxi line entirely — the car is already assigned before you land.
Downtown, Uptown, and connection timing
Love Field's biggest advantage is proximity: downtown, Uptown, and the Design District are minutes away off-peak. At weekday rush those short hops still slow down, so pad connections and downtown meetings accordingly. Heading onward through DFW for a connection? Allow real inter-airport time — it is a cross-metro trip, not a hop. Details for both airports are on our Dallas Love Field shuttle and DFW airport shuttle pages.
