Our Daily Schedule (Waco)

What is your daily schedule?

We pick you up on your schedule 24/7, and take you anywhere in Dallas and Fort Worth. Our professional shuttle drivers are normally 5-10 minutes early at your home in Fort Worth and Dallas, or right on time at Dallas Fort Worth. You pick the time we pick you up. Normally 30 minutes after you land is enough time to get your bags and find Prearranged. Planning the reverse trip? See our Austin to Waco shuttle page for flat-rate service details and online booking.

What is my pickup time at DFW?

We normally pick you up 30 minutes after your plane lands for domestic flights, or 45 mins after for international flights. If you don't have bags, you can schedule your pickup time for 15 mins after you land, or 30 mins for international flights with no bags. Flying into DFW instead? See our DFW to Waco shuttle page for flat-rate service details and online booking.

What happens if my flight is delayed in Dallas?

Pickup times automatically adjust to 30 minutes after you land if your flight is delayed for domestic flights at DFW, or 45 minutes after you land for international flights. Please let us know as soon as possible if your flight number changes. You can always text us if there is a delay. This is helpful since airlines don't always update things online when they are late.

What happens if my flight in Dallas arrives early?

Call or send us a text if you want us to pick you up early at Dallas Fort Worth, and we will let your shuttle driver know that you are ready to be picked up. Otherwise, we will pick you up at the scheduled time on your reservation. If it's hot outside, please wait inside the DFW terminal closest to prearranged until your car or airport shuttle is a minute or so away.

How soon should I make a reservation?

Although there is no set rule that prevents booking a Waco Shuttle last minute, it's a good idea to make your reservation as soon as possible so a shuttle driver is available and prevent any delays with picking you up. There's no need to confirm again if you've already made a reservation, and received a confirmation email.

How long does it take from Dallas or Fort Worth Texas?

Texas Shuttle trips from Dallas or Fort Worth Texas in normal traffic are about an hour and forty minutes versus three and a half hours on the bus with a bunch of people. Rush hour in downtown Dallas and Fort Worth will normally add 15-45 mins (30 mins on the average). You might think there's no way a bus or another shared ride shuttle company in Dallas or Fort Worth Shuttle would take that long, but they stop and wait 3-5 times to pickup people. Buses and other shuttles also don't leave on your schedule, so you might wait 30 mins - 1.5 hours if the bus is running late. With us it's just you going straight to Fort Worth or Dallas, normally non-stop in a nicer vehicle or shuttle.

What time should I be picked up?

The drive to Fort Worth is about 1 hour and 40 minutes. 3 hours and 30 minutes before your flight is normally enough time if you're going to DFW. Dallas Fort Worth recommends you be there 2 hours early to get through security and find your gate. Boarding in Dallas usually starts 30 mins before your plane takes off. However, one hour and thirty mins is generally okay. Dallas and Fort Worth Shuttle driving takes about 2 hours, then 3 and a half hours before your flight takes off is normally good. You start running the risk that they will give your seat away in Dallas about 40 mins before your flight takes off. Sometimes a little extra time is good and makes your trip to Fort Worth stress free by adjusting for the unexpected.

What Is a DFW to Waco Shuttle — and Who Is It For?

A DFW to Waco shuttle is a pre-booked, shared or private ground transportation service that carries travelers between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Waco, Texas — roughly 95 to 100 miles south along the I-35 corridor. Instead of renting a car, arranging a rideshare at the curb, or asking a relative to make the long drive, you reserve a seat in advance and a driver meets you at the airport and delivers you to your door in Waco or a nearby Central Texas town.

This route serves several distinct groups of travelers:

  • Baylor students and their families. Baylor University sits in the heart of Waco, and DFW is the most convenient major airport for families flying in for move-in day, Parent's Weekend, home football games at McLane Stadium, and graduation at the Ferrell Center.
  • Business travelers. Waco's growing industrial and logistics base — including the large manufacturing corridor along I-35 and Loop 340 — brings corporate visitors who land at DFW and need reliable, predictable transportation to meetings in McLennan County.
  • Tourists and day-trippers. Since Magnolia Market at the Silos put Waco on the national travel map, visitors from around the country fly into DFW and skip the rental car entirely.
  • Locals heading to a flight. The shuttle also runs the reverse direction: Waco residents who need to catch a flight out of DFW without leaving a car in airport parking for a week.

Long-running local operators such as Waco Streak, which per its own website has served the Central Texas region since 1982 and been voted #1 airport transportation in Central Texas for five years running, have built their entire business around this corridor. Newer app-based options such as Hitch offer bookable seat-by-seat rides on the same route. The sections below break down how the route works, which airport to fly into, what the ride is like, and how to book with confidence.

DFW to Waco shuttle traveling south on I-35 between Dallas and Waco, Texas

How the Route Works: From DFW Terminals to Downtown Waco

Geography makes this shuttle route simple to explain. Waco and Dallas sit on the same north–south axis, connected almost entirely by Interstate 35. Leaving DFW Airport in Grapevine, a shuttle typically merges onto TX-121 or TX-360, connects to I-635 (the LBJ Freeway), and then picks up I-35E south through Dallas. From there the route passes through the historic town of Waxahachie — famous for its ornate 1897 courthouse — before I-35E merges back with I-35W near Hillsboro. From Hillsboro, it's a straight shot down I-35 into Waco, passing the Exit 337 junction with TX-6 and Loop 340 before reaching downtown, Baylor University, or the Waco Regional Airport (ACT) on the city's northwest side.

In normal traffic, the drive runs about an hour and a half to two hours. The practical caveats worth knowing:

  • DFW airport access traffic. The interchange around Grapevine and the airport itself can add 15–30 minutes at peak morning and evening rush hours.
  • Dallas metro congestion. I-35E through the southern Dallas metroplex is one of the busiest freight corridors in the country; midday departures often move faster than rush-hour ones.
  • Construction and holiday traffic. I-35 through Central Texas is periodically under expansion, and Thanksgiving and spring break weekends bring heavy Baylor-family traffic northbound.

Professional shuttle drivers run this corridor daily, which is the core advantage over driving yourself or hailing an on-demand rideshare: they know where the backups form and when to build extra time into the schedule.

DFW vs. Love Field vs. Austin: Which Airport Makes Sense for Waco?

Travelers bound for Waco actually have three realistic airport choices, and choosing the right one can save hours. Here's how they compare:

Airport comparison for travelers headed to Waco, Texas
Airport Approx. distance to Waco Main airlines / strengths Best for
DFW International Airport (DFW) ~95–100 miles via I-35E/I-35 American Airlines mega-hub plus most major domestic and international carriers International arrivals, widest flight selection, most shuttle frequency
Dallas Love Field (DAL) ~95 miles via I-35E/I-35 Primarily Southwest Airlines; closer-in, easier terminal experience Southwest flyers, quick domestic trips, travelers staying in central Dallas
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) ~100–105 miles via TX-130/I-35 or US-79 Served by most major carriers; convenient to the Austin area Trip combos that include Austin before or after Waco

Established Waco shuttle services historically cover all three — Waco Streak's website, for example, advertises airport transportation to DFW International, Love Field, and Austin (per waco-streak.com). DFW remains the default for most out-of-state visitors because its flight volume makes it easiest to find a fare and arrival time that lines up with a scheduled shuttle departure.

Shuttle Options on the Dallas–Waco Corridor

You generally have three categories of service to choose from. Exact fares vary by operator, party size, date, and demand, so treat any number you're quoted as an estimate and confirm the final price when booking — never assume the advertised rate is what you'll pay for your specific date and party size.

Common ride types for the DFW–Waco route
Ride type How it works Good fit
Scheduled shared shuttle Fixed departure schedules; you book a seat and ride with other passengers heading the same direction Solo travelers, students, and budget-conscious visitors who can work around a set time
Private charter / exclusive ride The whole vehicle is reserved for your group at your chosen pickup time Families, wedding parties, corporate groups, and travelers with lots of luggage
App-based seat booking Platforms like Hitch let you compare ride types for your date and book individual seats; riders and drivers rate each other after every trip, keeping the community accountable (per hitch.com) Tech-comfortable travelers who want to see fare comparisons and reviews before committing

Whichever type you choose, ask two questions before paying: how many stops the vehicle makes along the way, and whether the price covers luggage, child seats, or late-night pickups. Those variables — not the base fare — are where surprise costs usually hide.

What People Are Saying About Waco Shuttle Services

Social proof matters when you're booking a ride with a company you may never have used before. The long-standing operators on this route have accumulated decades of word-of-mouth reputation among Baylor families and Central Texas businesses, and newer platforms publish verified reviews:

  • Riders on app-based services report ratings exchanges after every trip — one Hitch rider named Rick L., for example, called the experience "10/10" and said he'd highly recommend it both for rideshare service and for becoming a driver (per hitch.com).
  • Waco Streak, on its own website, notes it has been "trusted for over 35 years" and repeatedly asks customers to call its office directly for reassurance and availability — a signal of how relationship-driven Central Texas shuttle service remains (per waco-streak.com).
  • Local airport-transportation companies serving Waco, including Airport Transportation of Waco (reachable at 1-800-542-1781 per its website), list phone-based booking as the primary reservation method.

The pattern across all of them: on a route this personal, reputation travels by word of mouth as much as by search engine. Before booking, check recent Google reviews for the specific operator, not just the route, and note how the company responds to the occasional negative review.

Who Rides the Shuttle: Baylor Families, Business Travelers, and Waco Visitors

Baylor students and parents

The Baylor University crowd is the backbone of DFW–Waco ground transportation. Move-in week each August, Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring commencement create predictable surges, so book well ahead for those dates. Some operators offer student and young-traveler discounts or school-email-linked savings — ask when you call, and bring your student ID.

Business and group travel

Waco's economy has diversified well beyond its tourist image, with distribution centers and manufacturers drawing corporate visitors along the I-35 corridor. Companies often set up recurring billing with a shuttle provider for visiting clients and employees. If your firm sends people to Waco regularly, ask operators about corporate accounts — the premier services in this market explicitly market to businesses, per their own service pages.

Tourists making the most of a Waco weekend

Because shuttles drop you at your hotel or rental, they pair especially well with a car-free Waco weekend. Walkable highlights include the Silos District (Magnolia Market at the Silos, Magnolia Table, and Little Craft Shop on the property), the Dr Pepper Museum two blocks from the Suspension Bridge, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum at Fort Fisher Park, and the shaded trails of Cameron Park along the Brazos and Bosque rivers. The Waco Mammoth National Monument, where fossilized Columbian mammoths were discovered in situ, sits northwest of downtown near the shuttle's route into town. With a scheduled shuttle you can fly into DFW Friday afternoon, spend Saturday and Sunday exploring downtown Waco, and book a Sunday shuttle back for a Monday flight — no rental car counter, no airport parking fees.

How Pickup and Drop-Off Works at DFW International

DFW is one of the largest airports in the United States, spanning five terminals (A through E) connected by the Skylink train. Here's what to expect for a shuttle pickup:

  1. Book in advance with your flight number. Reputable operators track arrivals, so if your flight is delayed, the driver adjusts. Providing your flight number at booking is essential.
  2. Meet at baggage claim or a designated pickup zone. After you deplane, take the tram (if needed) to your terminal's baggage claim, collect your bags, and call the number on your confirmation. Many shuttle companies use the arrival-level curb or a specific door number at each terminal; private services will often wait in the commercial staging area and pull to the curb once you call.
  3. Confirm your Waco drop-off address. Common drop points include Baylor dorms and the campus visitors center, downtown hotels near Austin Avenue, short-term rentals in the Silos District, and private residences throughout the city.
  4. Plan the reverse trip deliberately. For departures, shuttles typically pick you up in Waco roughly three hours before a domestic flight — enough to cover the drive plus DFW's security screening time. Confirm this timing when you book, not on travel day.

Booking Tips: How to Get the Best DFW to Waco Shuttle Experience

  • Book early for peak dates. Baylor football Saturdays, move-in week, Magnolia-inspired spring weekends, and Thanksgiving are the busiest days on this corridor. Reserve at least a week out, and further ahead for holidays.
  • Compare at least two operators. Get quotes from a scheduled-service operator like Waco Streak ((254) 772-0430 per its website), a platform service like Hitch, and one private charter company, then compare total cost for your party — not per-person price.
  • Match the vehicle to your luggage. Golf bags, large suitcases, and car seats change the math. Tell the operator exactly what you're bringing.
  • Know the office hours before you call. Many Waco shuttle operators keep traditional business hours — Waco Streak, for instance, lists office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends, with bookings by phone or email (per waco-streak.com). Book during those windows so your call gets answered.
  • Ask about stops. A direct private ride and a three-stop shared shuttle can take very different amounts of time, even in the same vehicle class.

Frequently Asked Questions: DFW to Waco Shuttle

How far is Waco from DFW Airport?

Roughly 95 to 100 miles by road, almost entirely along I-35E and I-35. Drive time typically runs about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on Dallas-area traffic and the time of day.

How much does a DFW to Waco shuttle cost?

It depends on the operator, ride type, and demand. Shared-seat bookings are the most economical option, while private charters for a whole group cost more but can be cheaper per person for families. All pricing should be treated as an estimate until the operator confirms your exact fare at booking — schedules and rates can change, so always verify current pricing directly with the company.

Can you get a shuttle from Dallas Love Field to Waco?

Yes. Established Central Texas operators such as Waco Streak advertise service to Dallas Love Field as well as DFW International and Austin (per waco-streak.com). Love Field is often slightly faster to exit than DFW, though the total drive to Waco is similar.

Is there an airport in Waco?

Waco Regional Airport (ACT) exists northwest of downtown and offers limited commercial service with connections through the DFW hub. Many travelers still choose to fly into DFW for better flight options and pricing, then ride a shuttle the rest of the way — which is exactly why this shuttle route is so well established.

How do I get from DFW to Baylor University specifically?

Book a shuttle with a drop-off address on or near the Baylor campus. Most operators will deliver students directly to their dorm or the campus area; for move-in and graduation weekends, reserve early because those dates fill fastest. Parents traveling with students often find a

You can change the date and time of your reservation at no cost. If you don't know the exact address, you can enter the city for now and reserve it, then give us the full address later.
