Van Shuttle Pricing & Fares
How much does a van shuttle cost in Texas?
Van shuttle fares are flat-rate and all-inclusive — no metering, no surge pricing, no hidden fees. The exact price depends on the pickup and drop-off addresses you enter, the time of day, and the number of people. Click the buttons that say "Check Rates" below. There are different options under "Select Service" like "To Airport" or "From Airport" and "One Way" or "Round Trip". Choose the option called "Any Two Addresses 24/7" for non-airport transportation between any two addresses in Texas. Rates are total, not per person.
How do I save money?
Enter the promo code "ONLINE" for round trips and save 10% for booking online, or book a round trip and save more both ways. You'll also get a free upgrade to non-stop if you use the promo code "NONSTOP". We're here to help; so if you have any questions, feel free to call us.
How Do I Get an Accurate Quote?
- Step 1 - You can type just the city and check rates, but we recommend entering the full pickup and drop-off addresses to get an accurate quote since we have special rates for certain zip codes and most pricing is mileage based. Once you fill in the addresses, click "View Rates".
- Step 2 - We include pricing for Texas Taxi, Airport Shuttle, and Black Car Service so you can compare costs and have more options. Choose the type of service you want with the correct number of passengers. Once a price comes up, click "Reserve Now".
- Step 3 - Enter your name, cell phone, and email to save your quote and automatically get a copy sent to your email. We can easily look up your quote by name if you call and finish your reservation. Just click "Continue".
- Step 4 - The website won't book anything until you enter a credit or debit card on the final booking screen. You will automatically receive a confirmation email with all the details after you click "Confirm My Reservation".
What are the benefits of using our van shuttle?
Door-to-door van shuttle service is included on every trip. Texas Shuttle picks you up at the exact address you give us — a home, hotel, office, university dorm, hospital, or event venue — and drops you at the exact door at your destination, 24/7 anywhere in Texas. Our vans are great for groups, families, business teams, and sports teams with luggage. We don't leave you at a bus stop and we don't pack you in with 8-54 people you don't know.
Does it cost anything to change my reservation?
You can change the date and time of your reservation at no cost. If you don't know the exact pickup or drop-off address, you can enter the city for now, reserve it, and give us the full address later. If you don't have your flight number yet, estimate the time and update the flight number and time later — we track DFW, DAL Love Field, IAH, HOU Hobby, AUS, SAT, ELP, and MAF so we know when you actually land.
Traveler FAQs
Do I need to bring a car seat or booster for my child?
Texas state law requires children under 8 (and under 4'9") to ride in an approved car seat or booster, except in taxis and certain shuttle classifications. Texas Shuttle vans are classified as a shuttle service and the legal exemption can apply, but for safety we strongly recommend bringing your own car seat or booster for any child under 8 — we will install it. There's no extra charge to bring a car seat. Note your child's age and weight at booking so we send the right vehicle and seating.
Can I bring a pet or service animal?
Service animals are always welcome at no extra charge, per the ADA. Pets in carriers are allowed on a case-by-case basis — note the pet type, size, and carrier dimensions in the booking notes so we can confirm and assign an accommodating driver/vehicle. Pets must be in a secure carrier for the trip. For long-haul cross-region trips with large pets, call us first.
Is gratuity included or should I tip the driver?
Gratuity is not included in the flat-rate fare. Tips are appreciated but never required. Most travelers tip 15-20% of the fare for good service. You can tip the driver in cash at drop-off, or add a tip to your card on file by calling our office. Tips go 100% to the driver.
How far in advance should I book?
Same-day reservations are accepted 24/7 when capacity allows, but advance booking guarantees the vehicle and time you want. We recommend 24-48 hours' notice for standard airport trips, 3-5 days for groups of 6+ or oversized luggage, and 1-2 weeks ahead for peak event weekends (ACL, SXSW, F1 at COTA, college football game days, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break). Booking online any time of day confirms instantly.
How early will the driver arrive and how long will they wait?
For drop-offs from your address, we typically arrive 5-15 minutes before scheduled pickup so you're not rushed. For airport pickups, we track your flight and the driver is curbside shortly after you land. The driver texts or calls when they arrive. Standard included wait time at pickup is 5-10 minutes; text the driver to coordinate if you need more. Extended wait on longer delays can result in a small wait-time charge — call us if you anticipate one.
Our Nicer Vehicles
What type of vehicle will pick me up?
We send a Mercedes Sprinter van shuttle for groups, an SUV (4+ passengers), or a sedan (1-3 passengers) anytime and take you to any address in Texas, not just the airport. Our vehicles are clean and newer. Most are luxury and full size: Mercedes Sprinter Shuttles, Lincoln Navigators, Lincoln MKZ's, and a variety of other vehicles.
Airport Pickup Locations
Your Texas Shuttle van picks you up where it says Prearranged at DFW or Ground Transportation at Love Field — and at the equivalent designated areas at IAH, Hobby, AUS, SAT, ELP, and MAF. If you are in a wheelchair, do not allow your attendant to leave you anywhere except the designated prearranged pickup area. The signs are easy to see, and they are always at the curb.
Security won't allow drivers to wait or walk more than 15 feet away from their vehicle, so good communication is essential. Turn on your cell phone and take it off airplane mode and silent so your driver can call or text you. If you don't recognize the number, it's probably your driver.
DFW - Prearranged Limo is located at the lower level of each terminal. Please choose the closest one to your gate and let your driver know when they call or text you.
- Terminal A - Level 1 - Prearranged Limo is across the crosswalk from Door A15 and A29.
- Terminal B - Level 1 - Prearranged Limo is across the crosswalk from Door B8 and B30.
- Terminal C - Level 1 - Prearranged Limo is across the crosswalk from Door C4, C10, C24 and C30.
- Terminal D - Level 0 - Prearranged Limo is Downstairs near Door D22.
- Terminal E - Level 0 - Prearranged Limo is Downstairs near Door E35.
Love Field - Ground Transportation is on the lower level down the ramp from the baggage claim. Head to the right, and we pick you up where it says Oversized Vehicles.
Better Drivers
Who are your drivers?
Most of our shuttle van drivers have been driving professionally for more than 10 years across Texas. They know the major corridors — I-35, I-45, I-10, I-20, I-30, Highway 290 — cold, including the metro chokepoints in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. They have excellent people skills and are usually very knowledgeable about the area. Learn more about our drivers.
Van, TX to DFW — What to Expect From the Ride
How long does the Van to DFW airport shuttle take?
Van sits about 74 miles east of DFW International Airport along the I-20 / US-80 corridor. In light traffic the door-to-door drive runs about 95 minutes, and 100-138 minutes is the realistic planning window once you factor in metro Dallas rush-hour, weather, or the occasional I-20 construction stretch. We recommend booking pickup at least 3 hours before your domestic flight's departure and 4 hours before an international flight from Van — that builds in time for traffic, the DFW security line, and walking to your gate.
What route does the driver take?
Most Van to DFW runs leave town via Highway 110 or FM 314 to pick up I-20 westbound near Canton or Lindale, then stay on I-20 into the DFW Metroplex, exiting north toward the airport. Return trips from DFW to Van reverse the route. The driver picks the live-traffic-optimal path on the day — if I-20 is backed up near Terrell, they'll drop south to US-80 or use 635/635E to keep you moving.
Are pickups available from outside Van itself?
Yes — we run door-to-door from any address in Van Zandt County and the surrounding East Texas towns: Canton, Lindale, Mineola, Grand Saline, Wills Point, Edgewood, Ben Wheeler, Edom, Murchison, and Tyler. If you can give us the full street address, we can quote it. The Check Rates tool will tell you in 30 seconds whether your specific pickup is in network and what it costs.
Which Van Shuttle Size Should I Book?
How many passengers fit in each vehicle?
We dispatch the right vehicle based on your headcount and luggage. Every van shuttle we send is a real shuttle — no folding a sedan rear seat to squeeze in a 9th person and no hidden upcharges if you bring an extra bag.
- 8-passenger Mercedes Sprinter — fits up to 8 adults with standard airport luggage (one large checked bag plus one carry-on each). Best for families with kids, small wedding parties, and corporate teams flying in for a day-trip.
- 10-passenger shuttle van — comfortable for 10 with luggage. Common pick for sports teams, university dorm move-ins, and hotel-to-airport groups where everyone has bags.
- 12 to 14-passenger shuttle van — used for larger groups: bachelor and bachelorette parties, conference attendees from the same hotel block, church groups, and cruise port transfers. If you have heavy luggage we may shift you up one size at no extra cost so nothing rides on a lap.
- 15 to 17-passenger shuttle (or a Sprinter plus sedan combination) — for groups that don't fit in a single van. We often pair a 14-passenger Sprinter with a sedan or SUV instead of jamming everyone into one bus, because total drive time is the same and the experience is better.
- 20+ passenger groups — multi-vehicle convoy. We coordinate departures so the whole group arrives at the DFW or Love Field curb within a few minutes of each other.
What does a Texas van shuttle typically cost?
Pricing is flat-rate by distance and group size, not per passenger. Recent real ranges for door-to-door van shuttle trips in our network:
- 8-passenger shuttle, short metro trip (under 25 miles — DFW to downtown Dallas or downtown Fort Worth hotels): roughly $200 to $290 total, all-inclusive.
- 10-passenger shuttle, suburban airport trip (25 to 45 miles — DFW to Allen, Frisco, or Plano hotels): roughly $280 to $360 total.
- 12 to 14-passenger shuttle, longer trip (Van to DFW round trip, or Houston Hobby/IAH to Galveston cruise port at ~42 miles): roughly $390 to $570 total for the full van — split across 12 people that's under $50 per person.
- Round trip discount — book both legs together and use promo code ONLINE for 10% off. Use promo code NONSTOP for a free upgrade to a non-stop ride (no other passengers picked up along the way).
The actual quote depends on the exact pickup and drop-off addresses, time of day, and how many people you have. The Check Rates button below pulls a live price in 30 seconds — no account or credit card required to see your number.
Group Travel Tips for Van Shuttles
How do I coordinate a group pickup smoothly?
For groups of 5 or more leaving from East Texas or anywhere else in the state, a few practical things make the pickup smoother:
- Single pickup address beats multiple stops. If your group is spread across different houses or hotels, having everyone meet at one address (a host's house, a church, a school parking lot, a single hotel lobby) saves 15-30 minutes versus a multi-stop route. We can do multi-stop, but the single-meet approach almost always gets you to the airport with less stress.
- Build in extra time for an 8+ passenger van vs. a sedan. Loading luggage for a full van takes longer than for a single passenger. Our scheduler already factors this in — you don't need to add buffer yourself, but it's why your pickup time is earlier than a solo traveler would expect.
- One credit card for the group is fastest. You can book the whole van under one name and pay once. We don't split the bill across passengers at the door.
- Bring soft-sided luggage where possible. Hard cases are fine, but soft duffels Tetris into the rear cargo area more efficiently — useful for sports teams and ski groups headed to ELP or MAF connecting flights.
- Confirm your pickup point 24 hours ahead. If you're changing addresses, finishing a conference at a different venue than where you started, or boarding a cruise ship, just text the dispatch line and we'll update it. No charge to change the address.
Common Van Shuttle Routes Out of East Texas and the Metroplex
Where do most of our van shuttle groups go?
Texas Shuttle van service runs door-to-door anywhere in Texas, but the highest-volume group routes we operate include:
- Van and East Texas towns to DFW International Airport — typical drive time 95-130 minutes via I-20 westbound. Common for family vacations, mission trips, and cruise transfers connecting through DFW.
- DFW Airport to North Dallas suburbs (Allen, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, The Colony, Grapevine) — typical drive time 35-60 minutes. Common for wedding parties booking the Omni PGA Frisco Resort and hotels near the Stonebriar / Legacy West corridor.
- DFW Airport to downtown Dallas or Fort Worth hotels (Fairmont Dallas, Adolphus, downtown Fort Worth) — typical drive time 25-45 minutes. We use the Prearranged Limo curbside at DFW for the cleanest pickup.
- Dallas Love Field (DAL) to downtown / Fort Worth — typical drive time 20-50 minutes. Pickup is at the Oversized Vehicles area on the lower level Ground Transportation ramp.
- Houston Hobby (HOU) or IAH to Galveston cruise port — ~42 miles, typical drive time 60-80 minutes. Our most common cruise transfer; we time pickups around your ship's boarding window so you're not waiting in the cruise terminal lot for hours.
- Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) to San Antonio downtown — ~75 miles, typical drive time 90-110 minutes on I-35. Common for conference and bachelor/bachelorette groups.
- El Paso (ELP) and Midland (MAF) regional connections — long-haul West Texas pickups for energy-sector teams and ski groups headed to nearby resorts.
If your route isn't listed, that doesn't mean we don't run it — we operate door-to-door anywhere in Texas, including the long East Texas runs out of Van, Canton, Lindale, Tyler, and Longview.
Van Shuttle vs. SUV vs. Sedan — Which Should I Pick?
When is a van the right call?
- 4 or fewer passengers, light luggage — a sedan or SUV is usually cheaper and just as comfortable.
- 5 to 7 passengers — a large SUV (Lincoln Navigator or Suburban) often costs less than a van and fits the group with luggage. We'll quote both options at Check Rates so you can compare side by side.
- 8 to 14 passengers — van shuttle is the clear winner: one driver, one vehicle, one flat rate. Splitting the group across two SUVs almost always costs more and arrives later.
- Heavy luggage, instruments, ski gear, sports equipment, or strollers — go with a van even if your headcount would fit in an SUV. The cargo room behind the rear seat in a Sprinter is the deciding factor.
- Late-night arrivals, early-morning departures, or weather-disrupted travel — vans handle these the same as any other trip. We track your flight on DFW, DAL, IAH, HOU, AUS, SAT, ELP, and MAF, so a delay doesn't strand your group.
