New Braunfels Travel Tips
- Build in I-35 buffer time. The San Antonio–Austin stretch of I-35 is one of the most congested corridors in Texas, especially weekday mornings and late afternoons. For an early flight we recommend leaving a little earlier than the raw drive time suggests.
- Pick the airport by fare and schedule, not just distance. SAT is closest, but AUS frequently has more nonstop options, and IAH is the go-to for international itineraries. Run a quick rate check on more than one airport if your dates are flexible.
- Watch for events. New Braunfels draws heavy traffic during Wurstfest, summer river-tubing season on the Comal and Guadalupe, and Schlitterbahn weekends. Book your shuttle early during these periods.

Airport Pickup Locations

Turn on your cell phone and take it off airplane mode and silent, so your driver can call or text you. If you don't recognize the number, it's probably your driver. Security won't allow drivers to wait or walk more than 15 feet away from their vehicle, so good communication is essential.

For travelers connecting through Dallas, your driver picks you up where it says Prearranged at DFW or Ground Transportation at Love Field. The signs are easy to see, and they are always at the curb.
