Killeen to Azle Shuttle
Our private shuttle links the Fort Hood community of Killeen with the lakeside town of Azle, covering roughly 123 miles as the crow flies and a road distance a bit longer. The typical door‑to‑door drive takes between 168 and 231 minutes, depending on traffic and weather. Drivers follow I‑35 south out of Killeen, merge onto US‑287 north near Waco, then transition to TX‑199 west through the rolling hills of Parker County before arriving in Azle’s historic downtown and the Eagle Mountain Lake area.
Along the way the route passes through Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, and the small crossroads of Glen Rose, offering glimpses of the Brazos River valley and the open ranch land that defines Central Texas. For travelers connecting to flights, the shuttle can meet you at Killeen‑Fort Hood Regional Airport (GRK) or drop you at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) terminals, making the intercity leg a seamless part of a longer itinerary.
Each ride is booked as a private vehicle, so the driver arrives at the exact address you provide — whether it’s a home on West Stan Schlueter Loop, a hotel near the Killeen Mall, or a residence on Azle’s Main Street. The vehicle is equipped for standard luggage, and the driver tracks your flight status in real time. If a flight is delayed, we monitor the arrival and adjust the pickup time accordingly, ensuring you’re not left waiting at the curb.
How long does the trip take?
The drive normally falls between two hours forty‑eight minutes and three hours fifty‑one minutes, but peak‑hour congestion on I‑35 or construction on TX‑199 can add extra time. We build a buffer into every reservation so you arrive comfortably.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track incoming flights continuously and shift the scheduled pickup to match the updated arrival. There is no fixed free‑wait window; the driver simply meets you when the plane lands.
Can I bring extra bags or sports equipment?
Standard suitcases, carry‑ons, and typical recreational gear such as golf clubs or fishing rods fit without issue. Oversized items can be accommodated with advance notice.
