Daily Schedule (DFW to Oklahoma City)

What is your daily schedule?

We pick you up on your schedule 24/7, and take you anywhere in Dallas and Fort Worth. Our professional shuttle drivers are normally 5-10 minutes early at your home in Fort Worth and Dallas, or right on time at Dallas Fort Worth. You pick the time we pick you up. Normally 30 minutes after you land is enough time to get your bags and find Prearranged.

What is my pickup time at DFW?

We normally pick you up 30 minutes after your plane lands for domestic flights, or 45 mins after for international flights. If you don't have bags, you can schedule your pickup time for 15 mins after you land, or 30 mins for international flights with no bags.

What happens if my flight is delayed in Dallas?

Pickup times automatically adjust to 30 minutes after you land if your flight is delayed for domestic flights at DFW, or 45 minutes after you land for international flights. Please let us know as soon as possible if your flight number changes. You can always text us if there is a delay. This is helpful since airlines don't always update things online when they are late.

What happens if my flight in Dallas arrives early?

Call or send us a text if you want us to pick you up early at Dallas Fort Worth, and we will let your shuttle driver know that you are ready to be picked up. Otherwise, we will pick you up at the scheduled time on your reservation. If it's hot outside, please wait inside the DFW terminal closest to prearranged until your car or airport shuttle is a minute or so away.

How soon should I make a reservation?

Although there is no set rule that prevents booking a DFW to Oklahoma City Shuttle last minute, it's a good idea to make your reservation as soon as possible so a shuttle driver is available and prevent any delays with picking you up. There's no need to confirm again if you've already made a reservation, and received a confirmation email.

How long does it take from Dallas or Fort Worth Texas?

Texas Shuttle trips from Dallas or Fort Worth Texas in normal traffic are about an hour and forty minutes versus three and a half hours on the bus with a bunch of people. Rush hour in downtown Dallas and Fort Worth will normally add 15-45 mins (30 mins on the average). You might think there's no way a bus or another shared ride shuttle company in Dallas or Fort Worth Shuttle would take that long, but they stop and wait 3-5 times to pickup people. Buses and other shuttles also don't leave on your schedule, so you might wait 30 mins - 1.5 hours if the bus is running late. With us it's just you going straight to Fort Worth or Dallas, normally non-stop in a nicer vehicle or shuttle.

What time should I be picked up?

The drive to Fort Worth is about 1 hour and 40 minutes. 3 hours and 30 minutes before your flight is normally enough time if you're going to DFW. Dallas Fort Worth recommends you be there 2 hours early to get through security and find your gate. Boarding in Dallas usually starts 30 mins before your plane takes off. However, one hour and thirty mins is generally okay. Dallas and Fort Worth Shuttle driving takes about 2 hours, then 3 and a half hours before your flight takes off is normally good. You start running the risk that they will give your seat away in Dallas about 40 mins before your flight takes off. Sometimes a little extra time is good and makes your trip to Fort Worth stress free by adjusting for the unexpected.

DFW to Oklahoma City: Complete Driving Guide and Route Options

Whether you're planning a road trip from Dallas-Fort Worth to Oklahoma City or considering your transportation options, this guide covers everything you need to know about making the journey. The approximately 200-mile trip connects two major Southern cities through the heart of the Red River Valley, offering travelers multiple route choices and plenty of interesting stops along the way.

Distance and Drive Time from DFW to Oklahoma City

The distance from downtown Dallas to downtown Oklahoma City is approximately 205 miles via the most direct route. Most travelers complete this journey in 3 to 3.5 hours of driving time, depending on traffic conditions and your starting location within the DFW metroplex. Departing from Fort Worth adds roughly 30 miles and 30-45 minutes to your trip, bringing the total distance to approximately 235 miles.

If you're flying into DFW Airport and need to reach Oklahoma City, you'll find yourself on the northern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. From DFW's terminal area, the most direct path heads north on Highway 183 or the nearby I-35E corridor before connecting to the main routes southbound toward Oklahoma.

Best Routes: I-35 vs. US-75 Corridor

Two primary routes connect Dallas-Fort Worth with Oklahoma City, each offering distinct advantages depending on your priorities.

Interstate 35: The Most Direct Route

The most popular and direct route follows Interstate 35 for nearly the entire journey. Starting from Dallas, you'll head north on I-35E through the northern suburbs, passing through Lewisville and Denton. Just north of Denton, I-35E merges with I-35W from Fort Worth, creating the unified I-35 corridor that continues through Oklahoma.

This route passes through several noteworthy Texas towns including Gainesville, known as the "Prairie Heritage Capital of Texas," and the border city of Whitesboro. As you cross into Oklahoma, you'll pass through the college town of Ardmore, home to the University of Oklahoma's southern campus and the Goddard Lake Recreation Area. The route then continues through Pauls Valley before reaching the Oklahoma City metropolitan area from the south.

US-75 Corridor: The Eastern Alternative

An alternative route follows U.S. Highway 75 northward from Dallas, passing through the suburban communities of Richardson and Plano before continuing through Sherman and Durant, Oklahoma. This route offers a more direct path if you're departing from northern suburbs like Plano or Frisco. Durant is notable as home to the Choctaw Casino and Resort, which has become a major regional entertainment destination.

The US-75 route joins I-35 just south of Oklahoma City near the town of Norman, home to the University of Oklahoma main campus. This option adds approximately 15-20 minutes to your trip but may offer better traffic conditions during peak travel times.

Interstate 35E and I-35W Decision

If you're coming from Fort Worth, you'll face a choice between I-35W heading north through Fort Worth's western suburbs or I-35E heading northeast through Dallas County. Both routes converge near the town of Ridge, approximately 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. This convergence point means either choice ultimately leads to the same highway for the remainder of the journey.

What to See Along the DFW to Oklahoma City Drive

The approximately three-hour drive offers several worthy stops that break up the journey nicely. These attractions represent authentic Texas and Oklahoma landmarks rather than contrived tourist stops.

Gainesville, Texas

Located roughly 70 miles north of Dallas, Gainesville serves as a natural halfway point on the I-35 route. The town preserves its prairie heritage at the Gainesville Texas State Railroad Historical Site, where vintage train excursions wind through the East Texas woodland. The historic downtown square features preserved early 20th-century architecture and local shops.

Lake Texoma Recreation Areas

As you enter southern Oklahoma, Lake Texoma offers one of the region's premier outdoor recreation destinations. The reservoir straddles the Texas-Oklahoma border and provides opportunities for fishing, boating, and camping. The lake is particularly known for striped bass fishing and hosts the annual Striper Fest fishing tournament. Multiple state parks and recreation areas dot the shoreline.

Arbuckle Mountains and Turner Falls

Slightly off the main I-35 corridor near Davis, Oklahoma, the Arbuckle Mountains represent the oldest rock formation in the United States. Turner Falls, located within the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, features the state's tallest waterfall at approximately 77 feet. The surrounding area offers hiking trails and natural springs that have attracted visitors since the early 20th century.

Oklahoma City Attractions Worth Planning For

Oklahoma City has transformed dramatically since the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The city now offers world-class museums, outdoor recreation, and entertainment districts that rival larger metropolitan areas.

National Memorial and Museum

The Oklahoma City National Memorial stands as the primary tribute to the 168 people who perished in the April 19, 1995, bombing. The memorial features an outdoor field of empty chairs representing each victim, set against the backdrop of the surviving gates of the building. The adjacent museum chronicles the events leading up to the bombing and the community's remarkable recovery. This solemn destination offers profound historical context for understanding Oklahoma City's resilience.

Bricktown Entertainment District

The historic Bricktown district, located just east of downtown, has emerged as Oklahoma City's premier entertainment destination. The area features brick-paved streets lined with restaurants, entertainment venues, and the Bricktown Canal, which offers water taxi tours through the historic warehouse district. The Chesapeake Energy Arena anchors the district as home to the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder.

Science Museum Oklahoma and Zoo

Families traveling with children will find the Science Museum Oklahoma offers interactive exhibits covering space, physics, and natural history. The museum features the only public planetarium in the state. Just north of downtown, the Oklahoma City Zoo houses more than 1,500 animals across 100 acres of carefully designed habitats.
