The trip is about 63 miles and runs 75 to 90 minutes in normal conditions, longer at rush hour or during a Cowboys, Rangers, or State Fair event in Arlington.

Dallas Love Field is a single, compact terminal — one ticketing hall, one TSA checkpoint feeding all gates. Southwest Airlines operates the large majority of the gates; Delta and Alaska are the other scheduled carriers. Because the airport is small and curbside drop-off is right outside the doors, most travelers walk from the curb to their gate in 15 to 25 minutes when TSA is normal. Plan to be at the curb at least 90 minutes before a domestic departure, and closer to 2 hours on Monday mornings, Friday afternoons, Sunday evenings, and around major holidays when Southwest’s Dallas hub gets crowded.
