Round Top Antiques Week Fall 2026: Airport and Shuttle Guide
Round Top — the Fayette County town of about 90 people that anchors the largest antiques fair in Texas — runs its Fall Show October 25–31, 2026, and for one week the stretch of TX 237 between Round Top, Warrenton, and Carmine becomes a 20-mile market under constant foot traffic. Fall Show 2026: Dates and Venues
The Original Round Top Antiques Fair anchors the season at Big Red Barn and The Continental, with the following structure:
- October 25 — Designer Day. The early-access trade day before the public opening.
- October 26–31 — Show hours. Doors open at 9 a.m. daily; closing moves from 6 p.m. on opening day to 5 p.m. midweek and 4 p.m. on the final Saturday, October 31.
- October 17–31 — Blue Hills. The sister venue runs the full two weeks and overlaps the main show.
- January 21–23, 2027 — Winter Show. The next fair after fall, if you are planning ahead.
Venues spread along roughly 18 miles of TX 237 and FM 1291 — Big Red Barn, The Continental, Market Hill, the Compound, and dozens of fields in between. Nobody walks it all; serious buyers run their own circuit between venues, which is exactly what makes a dedicated driver useful during show week.
Flying In: Austin or Houston
Round Top has no airport. Two commercial airports split the arrivals:
- Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) — about 70 to 75 door-to-door miles from Round Top, roughly 1.5 hours via TX 71 East. In our confirmed completed trips, the Round Top to Austin median fare is $341.48 across 4 completed trips, with the airport-bound direction at $319.50; median distance about 74 miles.
- George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) — about 100 to 105 miles northeast, roughly two hours. Confirmed completed trips on the Round Top to Houston leg have run about 104 miles with a median fare of $223.81.
AUS is the shorter drive and the usual pick; IAH wins when fares or nonstop availability favor it. Every fare above is whole-vehicle and door-to-door — venue gate to terminal — so a party of four splits the Austin leg four ways.
Getting Around During the Show
Three logistics notes that matter more during antiques week than any other Texas event:
- Book the airport leg before show week. Drivers who know the TX 237 circuit book out early for the October dates, and cell coverage between venues is patchy enough that day-of coordination gets expensive.
- Furniture runs on a schedule, not a trunk. Buyers who find a booth at Blue Hills or Market Hill need purchases shipped or hauled later — plan the pickup trip as its own booking, not an add-on to the airport ride.
- Stage your venue pickups. Fields open and close at different hours, and parking shifts daily; a driver who knows where the day's circuit ends is worth more than a map.
