Our route from the Aloft Las Colinas to DFW is one of the shortest hotel-to-airport runs in the Metroplex. Your driver picks you up under the hotel's porte-cochère on West Royal Lane / Hidden Ridge in the Las Colinas Urban Center, then takes the quick connector out to John W. Carpenter Freeway (SH-114) heading west toward the airport. SH-114 drops you onto North Airfield Drive / International Parkway and feeds directly into the DFW terminal loop. Real-world distance is about 8–9 miles and the drive runs roughly 13–18 minutes in normal traffic — the "~15 min" you see on this page is what most pickups actually clock. Heading there from Irving? See our La Quinta Inn & Suites DFW Airport South (Irving) shuttle page for direct service.
Once you reach DFW, our shuttle will drop you off right at your terminal entrance. We serve all terminals at DFW, so whether you're bound for Terminal A, B, C, or the United Airlines terminal, we'll ensure a hassle-free transition to your flight. For those returning from the airport, simply call us, and we'll meet you at your designated pickup point. Heading there from Las Colinas? What time should I expect to arrive at DFW?
Typical drive time from the Aloft Las Colinas to DFW is 13–18 minutes in normal traffic. We build a small cushion into your pickup time based on your flight, plus extra padding during the 6–8 AM and 5–7 PM DFW peak banks when the terminal curb and security lines run heavier.
Will my luggage be safely transported?
Absolutely! Our vehicles are equipped with ample space for your luggage in the secure cargo area. Just let us know how many bags you have when you make your reservation, and we'll ensure they travel with you comfortably.
How do I handle flight delays?
In case of a delay, simply call our customer service at (817) 403-6196 or update your ride details online. We're here to assist you and will adjust your pickup time as needed.
Driving the route: Aloft Las Colinas → SH-114 → DFW
The Aloft Las Colinas sits on West Royal Lane / Hidden Ridge in the heart of the Las Colinas Urban Center — about a mile south of John W. Carpenter Freeway (SH-114). From the porte-cochère, your driver heads north out to SH-114 and runs straight west toward the airport. SH-114 turns into North Airfield Drive / International Parkway and dumps directly into the DFW terminal loop, so there are no long surface-street stretches once you’re on the freeway.
The whole trip is about 8–9 road miles. Most of the variability comes from two stretches: the SH-114 / Loop 12 interchange (occasionally backs up at evening rush) and the terminal loop itself when DFW is in a peak departure bank. Outside of those windows, 13–15 minutes door-to-curb is normal. We monitor live traffic and adjust pickup time automatically so you’re not guessing.
Which DFW terminal will you fly from?
DFW has five terminals laid out in a long horseshoe on either side of International Parkway: A, B, C, D, and E. Terminal D handles international and most premium-cabin long-haul. Terminals A, B, C, and E split the domestic schedule by airline. From Las Colinas, the SH-114 approach hits the terminals from the north side of the loop, which means the order you reach them is roughly E → D → A → B → C as the driver works clockwise around the loop. None of that matters for your booking — just give us your airline and flight number and we route you to the correct upper-level departures curb.
Coming back from DFW, your driver picks you up at the lower-level arrivals curb of the terminal you land at. Once you give us your inbound flight number at booking, our system tracks the actual landing time (not the scheduled time) and dispatches a nearby driver so the wait at the curb stays short whether your flight is 20 minutes early or 40 minutes late.
Shuttle vs. DFW parking vs. rideshare from the Aloft Las Colinas
For a guest at the Aloft Las Colinas heading to a flight, the three realistic options are: have someone drop you off and pick you up, take a rideshare each way, or book a door-to-door shuttle. Each has trade-offs:
- Self-drive and park at DFW. The Aloft is a business hotel, so most guests don’t have a car onsite to begin with — but if you do, you pay DFW Express, Terminal, or Valet rates for every day you’re gone, plus the round-trip drive at both ends of your travel day. Hidden cost: the round-trip itself when you’re tired coming home.
- Rideshare (Uber / Lyft) each way. Las Colinas to DFW is short enough that base fares are reasonable, but surge pricing is the wildcard during early-morning and late-night travel banks — exactly when business travelers fly. You’re also depending on a driver actually accepting the ping at 4:30 AM, which can take several minutes during off-peak hours.
- Door-to-door shuttle (Texas Shuttle). Flat, quoted price you see at booking — no surge, no parking fees. Driver pulls up to the Aloft porte-cochère at the time the booking system calculated by working backward from your departure. Round-trip usually comes out best because of the 10% promo code (ONLINE) at checkout.
For a typical 2–4 night business trip out of the Aloft Las Colinas with an early-morning or late-evening flight, the shuttle math almost always beats both parking and rideshare once you factor in surge windows and the round-trip driving on both ends.
Travel tips for business guests at the Aloft Las Colinas
The Aloft Las Colinas mostly serves business travelers visiting the surrounding Las Colinas Urban Center campuses (the Williams Square / Mustangs of Las Colinas area, the Las Colinas Convention Center, and the Toyota Music Factory district). A few things worth knowing if you’re booking your DFW shuttle around a meeting schedule:
- For early-morning flights (before 7 AM): book pickup roughly 1 hour 45 minutes before departure for domestic, 2 hours 30 minutes for international. Las Colinas to DFW is fast, but TSA at DFW in the early bank can run 25–40 minutes even with PreCheck.
- For mid-morning flights (10 AM – 1 PM): the calmest window at DFW. SH-114 outbound and the terminal curb are both quiet. We can pad pickups less aggressively, which gets you more sleep.
- For evening flights (after 7 PM): SH-114 evening congestion eases after about 6:45 PM — if your flight is later, the drive is fast, but build in extra padding if you’re leaving the Aloft during the 5–6:30 PM window.
- Group bookings (4+ passengers): we’ll send a shuttle or SUV instead of a car — mention your headcount and number of bags at booking so the right vehicle shows up.
- Returning on a delayed flight: we track the actual landing time, not the scheduled time. You don’t need to update us — just head to the lower-level arrivals curb of your terminal when you land.
